  I had to file a bankruptcy to protect my home from foreclosure. We live in Floresville, and I work in South Texas oil fields. I also needed to protect my small business from loss to creditors or the trustee. Mr. Bosworth worked quickly to get the case filed, since the foreclosure was already near. Since then, he has fought off attempts of the Chapter 13 trustee to dismiss the case. My work in the oil business in Karnes and Kenedy has increased my income, so now things are going to be better in the future. It's really bad when these banks and mortgage companies get all this low interest money from the government, but don't want to modify or reduce the loans to hard working people. I've got special needs children to support, and these companies don't make it any easier on people so that they can keep their homes and real estate. This shale oil boom has helped us too, but while it gives us better jobs, it makes all the payments for cars and leases go up. Well, give David a call and see if he can help you out if you get into financial trouble on anything. Oh, adn because of my work, its hard to get off. He came in to the office and met me on the weekend.

  I’ve known David since he taught real estate law classes at one of San Antonio’s Real Estate Licensing and Education schools back in the '90's. I have called him often through the years for information and his view on legal situations that the sellers or buyers find themselves in my international brokerage firm. Recently I have called him to help solve a problem that I have. The economic downturn of 2008 has reduced income for everyone in the real estate business. I hope Wall Street enjoyed the reckless trading, because we are all paying for it now with foreclosures and lower real estate values. My business was included in the ones hurt, and I had some trouble making payments on my homestead property as a result. I tried a mortgage loan modification, but that never came through, and before long my house was posted for foreclosure, and I had to file bankruptcy Chapter 13 in order to save my house from forced sale. Although I completed the bankruptcy plan, when I was through, the mortgage company wanted $1000’s of dollars, because they had credited payments to some “miscellaneous” account, and not to principal or interest. Oh, yes, this bankruptcy was not filed by David Bosworth, I took it to a lady lawyer in town who will not be named here. In any case, I’ve taken this matter to Mr. Bosworth, so he can “run the numbers” and try to track where my money has gone with this mortgage company, and reduce the balance to the right amount.

  Mr. Bosworth handled a bankruptcy case for me recently. The case had several difficult issues, including emergency filing, and filing a motion to extend the stay against a mortgage foreclosure, since this was a refiling. He handled the usual bankruptcy paperwork, the schedules and statement of financial affairs. He researched the real estate legal issues regarding my situation. He sent instructions and comments on media sound files, which made it easier to understand the requirements. Then he prepared a defense against the trustee’s motion regarding confirmation and the exemptions regarding real property. He always met deadlines, and made enough time for meetings and communication with me, and always with a prompt response. I would definitely recommend him!
